Solution
Delivered a flexible visual system applied across all Hackathon materials

Overview
Rakuten Group is a global technology and commerce company, with its North American businesses focused on e-commerce, digital advertising, and consumer rewards, most notably through Rakuten Rewards, one of the largest cashback platforms in the U.S.

For Rakuten’s inaugural global hackathon, I designed a cohesive set of visual assets, including posters, stickers, t-shirts, Zoom backgrounds, and certificates. These materials supported participants across Rakuten Group’s commerce and marketing organizations and helped foster a shared sense of creativity, collaboration, and innovation as teams explored new business ideas.

Role

Goal
Design inclusive visuals that support representation, belonging, and brand alignment.

Solution
An adaptable visual system to be used across Rakuten’s Diversity & Inclusion initiatives

Impact

The work strengthened consistency, visibility, and internal alignment across Rakuten’s diversity and inclusion efforts

Overview
As the Design Lead for Rakuten’s Employee Diversity & Inclusion Committee, I created inclusive visual assets supporting educational programming and internal events. This work included creating a cohesive set of materials for Rakuten’s inaugural global hackathon, such as posters, stickers, t-shirts, Zoom backgrounds, and certificates.

The campaign supported employees across Rakuten’s commerce and marketing organizations and helped foster a shared visual language that reinforced inclusion, collaboration, and innovation as teams came together to explore new business ideas.
